Option One: Campbell takes career-best 4-44 in record-breaking win against Kent

Campbell struck early in Kent’s innings after a record-breaking onslaught from Hampshire’s batters, where Tom Prest made 181, the second highest ever individual List A score for Hampshire.

With the first ball of his third over, Campbell had the dangerous Tawanda Muyeye edging behind into the safe hands of Ben Brown, before he picked up the big wicket of keeper Ollie Robinson for 22 as he toe-ended a catch to Scott Currie at mid-on.

After a little break, Campbell struck in his first over back as Matt Quinn looked to go big but could only find Ian Holland.

The left armer then rounded off the match with his fourth wicket when Nathan Gilchrist top edged a pull to skipper Nick Gubbins at cover, and victory was secured by 163 runs.

Option Two: Campbell takes 3-17 in nine overs in close-cut win against Northants

Hampshire visited the Isle of Wight for the first time since 2019, and the islanders had a game to remember at Newclose.

Having been bowled out for 199, Hampshire were on the back foot against Northamptonshire, despite a few early wickets.

Campbell picked up his first of the day when Nathan Buck was caught in the deep by Toby Albert, with Northants needing just 21 runs for victory.

With his very next ball, Campbell had the experienced Ben Sanderson nicking off to Brown behind the stumps.

In his next over, with the Steelbacks now needing only 12 runs to win, Campbell bowled James Sales through the gate, clattering into middle and off stump.

Five balls and no runs later, John Turner finished off a remarkable victory on the island, as Hampshire won by 11 runs.

Option Three: Campbell takes 3-72 in narrow semi-final defeat

Darren. Stevens.

Whilst the veteran all-rounder took the plaudits as Kent proceeded to the final of the Royal London One-Day Cup, Jack Campbell was once again in the wickets

The left armer first picked up the wicket of Ollie Robinson for 95 as the Kent keeper top edged a pull shot into the hands of Aneurin Donald.

In his next over, Campbell then dismissed the other set batter in Harry Finch; extra bounce from Campbell being the demise of the Kent batter.

With 25 runs needed for victory, and four wickets in hand, the match was going down to the wire.

Campbell then bowled Harry Podmore, pegging back middle and off stump, and Hampshire kept fighting.

However, the wiley ‘Stevo’ proved to be too much for Hampshire’s young side.
