Hampshire Women return to One Day Cup action following The Hundred with a trip to Chelmsford as they take on Essex
Hampshire Women have qualified for the Women’s T20 Finals Day after they topped Group 4 ahead of second placed Somerset.
Finals Day will take place at Neston CC in Cheshire, across Sunday 25th and Monday 26th August, and features Derbyshire, Hertfordshire, and Warwickshire alongside Hampshire.
The Rose and Crown will face Derbyshire in their opening match on Sunday, with matches against Hertfordshire and Warwickshire to follow on Monday.
Hampshire won their previous match against Wales NC, with 20s from Finty Trussler, Rachel King, and Darcey Clarke, before Eve O’Neill took 3-17 from four overs to help seal victory by seven runs.
Derbyshire have both the leading run scorer – Lara Shaw – and leading wicket taker – Emma Thatcher – in the T20 competition, whilst fans will recognise names such as Charis Pavley, Ellie Anderson, and Ria Fackrell from Warwickshire’s side, who have all played for Central Sparks.
Hampshire Women Squad
Hampshire Women have named a 12-player squad, led by Finty Trussler, for Finals Day.
Trussler is the second leading run scorer for Hampshire this season, behind Abi Norgrove, with 240 runs to her name and a best of 58.
Eve O’Neill’s 11 wickets sees her on top of the XII selected for the weekend.
The squad contains five Vipers Academy players, with Trussler and Mitchelmore having earned 1st XI honours.
