Record-Breaking Vitality Blast Sales To Begin 2018 On-Sale

Hampshire have achieved record-breaking, first week, ticket sales for this year's Vitality Blast

Hampshire’s preparations for the 2018 season are going well both on and off the field, with the Club achieving record-breaking, first week, ticket sales for this year’s Vitality Blast.

Ticket sales for the seven Blast matches at the The Ageas Bowl this season have increased by more than 90% in the opening week, which follows three years of increased attendances at the venue in the most recent instalments of the T20 competition.

The record start follows a 2017 season which saw Hampshire reach an unprecedented seventh Finals Day in eight years, further enhancing the Club’s reputation as one of the best white-ball teams in the country.

There has also been a 65% increase in demand for Hampshire’s seven-match Vitality Blast Passport -the best value option for witnessing all the drama this summer – which entitles fans entry to all seven of Hampshire’s matches at the The Ageas Bowl.

Available for just £99, a saving of £48 on lowest price individual match tickets, a Blast Passport is your chance to catch new signing, Sam Northeast, and the rest of James Vince’s side in action throughout July and August.

It’s great to see that sales have started so well. This has exceeded our expectations and offers a positive outlook for the season ahead of us, which promises to be another good one.

2018 will also be the first opportunity for Hampshire fans to enjoy the latest technological advancements made at the The Ageas Bowl, with giant Samsung LED screens and leading-edge Wi-Fi technology to be installed around the ground in the coming weeks.

The connected screens are the first of their kind to be sold in the UK - and together with secure, high speed wireless networking, will greatly enhance the fan experience, enabling real-time engagement, competitions and sponsorship opportunities as well as replays and stadium information throughout the season.

Hampshire’s Vitality Blast campaign begins on Friday 6th July with a home clash against Glamorgan, whilst the Hampshire faithful will not have to wait too long to witness the 2018 ‘el clasicoast’, with Thursday 12th July the date set for local rivals Sussex Sharks’ visit to the The Ageas Bowl.

The action keeps on coming with the The Ageas Bowl selected to host a Double Header fixture on Wednesday 8th August. The afternoon will see the Southern Vipers take on Yorkshire Diamonds in Kia Super League action before Hampshire go head to head with Somerset in the evening contest.

Four home fixtures in August round off the group stage with Gloucestershire the final opponents at the The Ageas Bowl on Friday 17th August.

Finals Day will once again be at Edgbaston, but held on a slightly later date of Saturday September 15, to avoid a clash with England’s Test series against India.

Tickets are selling fast for all seven Vitality Blast matches and can currently be snapped up for just £18 per adult, a saving of £7 against on the day prices, in the brand new Early Bird window which ends in May.

Tickets can be purchased online via the link below, over the phone on 02380 472002 or in person from the The Ageas Bowl Ticketing and Membership Office during normal working hours.
