The Vitality Blast match between Glamorgan and Hampshire in Cardiff was abandoned without a ball bowled, with heavy rain all day making any play impossible. The bad weather had already wiped out the Charlotte Edwards Cup match between Western Storm and Thunder and the umpires made the call to abandon this game at 7:30pm.
Both Glamorgan and Hampshire came into this game with two wins and two losses and would have been hoping for a positive result to keep them in the hunt for quarter finals places. Unfortunately, the rain did not stop for long enough for the teams to get this match underway and both teams leave with a point a piece for the No Result.
Hampshire will now travel to home ahead of their match against Middlesex at Utilita Bowl scheduled for Friday evening. Glamorgan’s next match will be on Sunday against Somerset in Taunton.
