Royal London Cup Rewind: Fletcha Middleton's Crucial Half Century

With the 2022 season now firmly in the rear-view mirror we're taking a look back at some of the performances that caught the eye throughout the campaign

Fletcha Middleton hit is maiden List A half-century in Hampshire's nervy win over Derbyshire in August. 

Middleton was due in at number five, but found himself at the crease a little earlier than he hoped. Hampshire found themsevles three wickets down in the seventh over. 

Fletcha was joined at the crease by fellow academy graduate Toby Albert, the pair putting on a 104 run partnership in just under 20 overs to put Hampshire in a more comfortable position in the low scoring match. 

The techically correct right-hander looked in fine form against both pace and spin, when Reece got to straight, Middleton elegantly flicked the ball through wide mid on for one of his six boundaries. 

Middleton was unlucky to be dismissed from a rank half-tracker which he pulled into the hands of mid-wicket but his innings of 64 from 82 balls was exactly what Hampshire needed at that point in the game.
