Hampshire Second XI will face Leicestershire Second XI in the Second XI County Championship Final at the The Ageas Bowl after securing their spot in the competition climax this week.
The side have been rewarded for their success throughout the campaign, during which they finished unbeaten in all four-day matches, and will take on the visitors on the The Ageas Bowl main outfield between Tuesday 3rd - Friday 6th September.
The most dominant performance from Jimmy Adams’ side was undoubtedly their overpowering victory away at Surrey in July, where Felix Organ consolidated some excellent form in the openers slot with a century in the first innings and a gritty 50 in the second, whilst all-rounder Brad Taylor also recorded an excellent hundred.
Ryan Stevenson has led the bowling attack brilliantly in the competition with regular spells of three or more wickets helping him become a real menace to top and middle order batsmen.
Fans are encouraged to show their support during Second XI County Championship Final, with free admission available on all four days of action.
