Keeper-batter Joseph Eckland and all-rounder Daisy Mullan will leave Hampshire Cricket on the expiration of their contracts
Hampshire batsman Will Smith struck his second century for Gordon Cricket Club at the weekend, as his side made a strong start to their Sydney First Grade match against Penrith.
After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Gordon reached 306-8 from their 96 overs on the opening day of the two-day match.
Smith hit 13 fours during his impressive knock of 105, whilst Jack Colley hit 73 before falling to Worcestershire’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore (1-43).
Elsewhere, Adam Wheater hit 18 and 2 as Perth Cricket Club won both of their T20 matches on Sunday against Fremantle and Scarborough. Somerset opener Tom Abell found himself caught-behind by Wheater, in Perth’s first T20 against Fremantle.
Meanwhile, it was a defeat for Joe Weatherley’s Woodville, who were dismissed for 188 chasing 221 for victory in the one-day match against Southern District.
