Sonny Baker And Liam Dawson To Tour New Zealand In October
Quick bowler Sonny Baker and all-rounder Liam Dawson have been named in England Men’s white ball squads to tour New Zealand before the Ashes
Hampshire duo Sonny Baker and Liam Dawson will travel to New Zealand in October as part of a six-match white ball tour that precedes the Ashes.
All-rounder Dawson claimed ten wickets for England this summer as he returned to the IT20 side whilst Baker made international debuts against South Africa and Ireland in One Day Internationals and IT20s respectively.
The pair helped Hampshire Hawks to a record 11th appearance at Finals Day where the side finished runners-up to Somerset.
Dawson, 35, also put in strong List A performances, including a career-best of 142 in the semi-final against Yorkshire, to help Hampshire to the final of the men’s Metro Bank One Day Cup.

In the ODI squad, there are call-ups for all-rounders Sam Curran and Liam Dawson. Lancashire seamer Luke Wood is also added after impressing in IT20 cricket for England.
Ben Duckett, Jamie Smith and fast bowler Jofra Archer will be rested for the IT20 series.
Lancashire seamer Saqib Mahmood misses the New Zealand tour after undergoing minor knee surgery.
The England Lions squad for the tour of Australia, which will mirror the start of the Ashes with matches in Perth, Canberra, and Brisbane, will be announced in due course.
The IT20 squad for New Zealand departs on 10 October.
