Southern Brave Pick Up Wildcards Allen And Strano

Southern Brave have signed explosive top order New Zealand batter Finn Allen and destructive Australian allrounder Molly Strano as their overseas wildcard picks.

Allen previously played for Birmingham Phoenix, whom the Brave beat to win the first ever men’s Hundred competition, and has played six T20Is with a high score of 71 and an incredible strike rate of 190.

Strano has plied her trade in the WBBL with Hobart Hurricanes where she was the team’s leading wicket taker last season, and has the most wickets in WBBL history. She also played for Australia-A against England-A over the English winter and has seven T20I caps to her name.

The Hundred proved a big hit with families and young people in particular relishing the mix of fast-paced cricket with music and family entertainment off the pitch which will only be bigger and better this year.
