ICC Women's T20 World Cup Coming To Southampton
Seven venues have been confirmed to host the tournament in 2026
Joe Weatherley will return to Southern Brave whilst Western Storm captain Sophie Luff joins from London Spirit.
Teenage Sussex all-rounder James Coles was also picked up in the Vitality Wildcard along with England Under 19 wicket keeper Katie Jones.
Powerful middle order batter Weatherley made his debut for the Brave in 2023 and played four games as the team made the Eliminator. He’s currently Hampshire Hawks’ leading run scorer in the 2024 Men’s Vitality Blast with 240 runs.
James Coles meanwhile has scored two fifties in his 225 runs for Sussex Sharks and has also taken six wickets.
Sophie Luff captained Welsh Fire in the first year of The Hundred before moving to London Spirit in 2022. She also captains her region, Western Storm, and was their third-leading run scorer in this year’s Charlotte Edwards Cup.
18-year-old wicket keeper Katie Jones toured with England Under 19s for their tri-series against Sri Lanka and Australia, where she made 57 against Australia in their 50-over clash.
