Southern Vipers Overseas Roundup: Adams Continues Strikers Winning Streak

Eight Southern Vipers stars are in Australia playing in the WBBL and club cricket during the English winter

Eight Viper stars have flown out to Australia to take part in the WBBL, State, and Club cricket during the winter months.

Southern Vipers skipper Georgia Adams continued her winning ways with Adelaide Strikers, as she helped her side to back-to-back victories against Brisbane Heat and Sydney Sixers.

To date, she’s scored 17 runs and taken three wickets as the Strikers sit top of the WBBL table.

Maia Bouchier has scored 48 runs and taken five catches patrolling the deep for Melbourne Stars, with Nicole Faltum scoring 56 runs and taking two catches and a stumping keeping wicket.

The Stars currently sit in sixth place on four points from their six matches.

Maitlan Brown has continued her early form with the bat in the WBBL, as she scored a quickfire 32* against the Strikers but unfortunately the team in pink couldn’t set a high enough total for the reigning champions as the Strikers won by five wickets.

She has scored 119 runs at 23.80 along with taking six wickets.

Linsey Smith took 2-20 from her four overs against Perth Scorchers at the WACA, but the home side ended victorious by 36 runs.

Lauren Bell is yet to feature for the Sydney Thunder, with all three overseas spots in the XI being taken up since her debut last week.

At Box Hill CC, Rhianna Southby helped her side to an 88-run win against Geelong as Box Hill take top spot in the Victoria Women’s Premier One Day league.
