Match Preview: Hampshire Men v Durham, Rothesay County Championship
Hampshire Men return Rothesay County Championship action against Durham at Utilita Bowl over May Bank Holiday weekend
It’s the final overseas roundup for the winter, with England Women concluding their tour of New Zealand with a 2-1 ODI series victory, whilst England U19s ended their trip to Sri Lanka with a total of three matches won out of six.
Back on Thursday, England Women completed a 56-run win in the second ODI, with Bouchier scoring 20 at the top of the order as England posted 252 all out.
A wicket each for Lauren Bell (1-36) and Charlie Dean (1-39) helped restrict the hosts to 196 all out in 45 overs.
Defeat in the final match of the series put a slight dampener on the mood, despite 38 from Dean in another stellar partnership with Amy Jones.
England end their tour with the ‘A’ side winning four matches, including a 3-0 sweep of the T20 series, with the 1st XI securing a 4-1 IT20 series win, and a 2-1 victory in the ODI series.
Maia Bouchier ends the tour with 293 runs to her name, from eight innings, whilst Charlie Dean averaged 40.5 with the bat in the ODIs and rose to second in the ICC WIT20 bowling rankings, with a total of 11 wickets across her eight games.
Lauren Bell picked up nine wickets in six matches, with a best of 3-41 in the opening ODI, whilst Danni Wyatt scored 52 runs.
England Women face New Zealand at Utilita Bowl on Saturday 6th July, and with tickets close to selling out, fans are encouraged to act fast if they want to see local stars Danni Wyatt, Lauren Bell, Charlie Dean, Maia Bouchier, and Freya Kemp, in IT20 action on the south coast.

Over in Sri Lanka, England U19s continued their strong tour, despite defeat in their opening ODI against Australia.
Abi Norgrove made 21 batting at three, whilst Mary Taylor smashed 33* as England posted 239 all out before Taylor then took 1-39, removing Aussie skipper Amy Smith for just nine.

But fifties for Eleanor Larosa and Kate Pelle helped Australia seal victory with two overs and two wickets to spare.
In their final match against Sri Lanka, Mary Taylor and Ava Lee both picked up a wicket each as the hosts were bowled out for 226.
In pursuit of their target, Abi Norgrove made 14, but Sri Lanka’s bowlers were too strong as England were skittled for 118.
Overall, England U19s won the T20 series, winning three out of four matches, but were unfortunately defeated in both ODIs.
