Pop rock band The Dunwells have been announced as the support act for rock legend. Bryan Adams, when he performs at the The Ageas Bowl next month.
The Canadian rock giant will headline at the home of Hampshire Cricket on Friday July 7, and it has today been announced that the four-piece band from West Yorkshire will be joining Adams as support on this current UK leg of his Get Up World tour.
Originally formed in 2009, The Dunwells are made up of brothers Joseph (vocals, acoustic guitar) and David Dunwell (vocals, piano, guitars, banjo) as well as Rob Clayton (bass, vocals) and Adam Taylor (vocals, drums). There may only be two members with the same surname, but The Dunwells are very much a band of brothers.
The Dunwells joined Bryan Adams for a show last summer and are now returning for 2017.
As well as touring with Bryan Adams, the hardworking quartet from Leeds have recently released their new EP, Lucky Ones, which Record of the Day has called “big, bold and even, at times heroic…both inspiring and anthemic,” adding “(The Dunwells) have the tenacity and spirit to become a very big band.”
Previously they have also enjoyed success with their debut album Blind Sighted Faith and the Show Me Emotion EP.
We are so excited to share the stage again with the legend, Bryan Adams.
The Dunwells
It's an honour to play with an artist of such stature. It’s going to be amazing, the show we did with him last year was incredible, he really knows how to put on a show!
The Southampton gig is the first time Bryan Adams has played live in the city since 2009.
The rock giant has been touring across the globe with his most recently launched thirteenth studio album Get Up and will entertain the crowds with a string of new hits (You Belong to Me, Brand New Day) together with such classics as Summer of 69, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Cuts Like a Knife and Run To You.
