Utilita Bowl is on a mission to become the world's greenest international cricket stadium. Home to some of England's most successful cricket teams as well as Hilton Southampton - Utilita Bowl, eforea spa, Boundary Lakes Golf Course, Hampshire Wellbeing Centre and BEEFY's Restaurant.

Utilita Bowl is the home of Hampshire Cricket and Southern Brave, whilst also being a host venue for England Cricket internationals.

In 2024, Hampshire Cricket finished second in the Vitality County Championship, reached the knock-out stage of the Metro Bank One Day Cup and hosted seven action-packed Vitality Blast fixtures as Hampshire Hawks.

Southern Vipers went into their final season as the ‘Vipers’, reaching both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Southern Brave Men finished Runners-Up in The Hundred after hosting four spectacular double header matchdays at Utilita Bowl with the Women’s side in July & August.

Both England Men & Women hosted sold-out IT20 cricket at the venue based just outside Southampton. England Women welcomed New Zealand, before England Men hosted Ashes rivals Australia.

In 2025, England return for three international fixtures, including Men's fixtures against West Indies and South Africa, as well as England Women hosting India.

We look back at the first ever game of T20 cricket - held at the Rose Bowl between Hampshire and an local rivals Sussex

Hampshire and Sussex contested the first-ever English domestic T20 fixture back in 2003 and we've taken a trip down memory lane to reminisce about the start of the south coast rivalry in the shortest format.

Take a peek at the video below showing former Sussex captain Chris Adams and former Hampshire batsman Derek Kenway - both of whom played in the inaugural T20 fixture in 2003 - as they recall the introduction of T20 cricket and how it has progressed to today's high-octane drama.
