The Ageas Bowl Are 'First' On The Bus

A new enhanced public bus service will be in place as part of a new partnership with First Bus

The Ageas Bowl are pleased to announce a new enhanced public bus service will be in place after certain Hampshire Cricket fixtures this season, as part of an extended service provided in conjunction with partners, First Bus.

This new partnership will make travelling between Southampton City Centre and Hedge End station an enjoyable and convenient experience, with buses to stop and pick up just outside the The Ageas Bowl from Marshall Drive.

it is hoped the enhanced service will assist our spectators in getting to and from the The Ageas Bowl via public transport on all floodlit matches, whilst allowing them to relax and enjoy the cricket knowing they can travel home safely.

Fans of the Specsavers County Championship will be pleased to hear a later bus will be available after the Club’s floodlit fixture against Yorkshire at the The Ageas Bowl, picking up from the Marshall Drive bus stop at 9.20pm and 9.35pm for travel towards Hedge End train station, and then 9.40pm and 9.55pm towards Southampton.

An extended service will also follow every Royal London One Day Cup and Vitality T20 Blast match this summer, with a number of these matches due to finish after the last scheduled First Bus no.8. As such, an extended service has been arranged meaning spectators will not have to vacate the Ground early and can be reassured there will be at least later services in both directions after each fixture.

In addition to this, the The Ageas Bowl have commissioned a free service to Southampton Airport Parkway train station after all domestic T20 matches this season, and free travel to the The Ageas Bowl before the T20 contest against Essex Eagles on Sunday 12th August only.
