Toby Albert Joins Chennai Braves for T10 League

Albert joins Whiteley in the upcoming 10 over a side tournament

Hampshire’s young batsman Toby Albert has been given the opportunity to gain some valuable experience in the upcoming T10 league.

Albert has signed for the Chennai Braves for 10-over-a-side format tournament, scheduled to be played in the UAE from 19 November to 4 December 2021.

The Braves are coached by former Warwickshire bowler Dougie Brown and also feature former England all-rounder Ravi Bopara.

New Hampshire signing Ross Whiteley will be playing for the Northern Warriors.

19 year old Albert was recently announced as one of three players who have been awarded development contracts by Hampshire.

This summer, the Berkshire born batsman hit 105 from just 60 balls in a T20 for the Hampshire 2XI against a Sussex 2XI bowling attack which featured England’s Ollie Robinson.

This helped Albert earn his first team debut when Hampshire faced Somerset at The Ageas Bowl in the Vitality Blast in July. Albert also led the way with the bat for the Hampshire Academy in 2021, notching over 700 runs at an average of 52 in the Southern Premier Cricket League.

UK viewers can watch the T10 league on Sky Sports.
