Australian Duo Neser And Lehmann Join Hampshire For 2026
Australian all-rounder Michael Neser and batter Jake Lehmann join Hampshire for the 2026 season
Southern Vipers duo, Suzie Bates and Sara McGlashan, will both be in action in tomorrows Women's Big Bash League Final as Perth Scorchers take on Sydney Sixers.
Both players played pivotal roles for the Vipers in last year's inaugural Kia Super League campaign, with Charlotte Edwards' side claiming the competition trophy back in August.
Bates, who led the Scorchers to second place in the WBBL group stage, will be hoping to add to her tally of 303 runs so far this campaign, whilst McGlashan features for the table-topping Sixers, having contributed 335 runs in the competition.
We know they've got a world-class bowling attack with [Katherine] Brunt and [Anya] Shrubsole and other internationals and likewise with their batting order with [Elyse] Villani and [Nicole] Bolton and Suzie Bates.
Sara McGlashan
They're a classy team but that's what T20's about that's why you love to play it. A big part of our success this season has been we've just been focusing on what we've needed to do with bat and ball.
The Sixers fell short in the final of last year's WBBL, but after securing an emphatic 103-win over Hobart Hurricanes in this week's Semi-Final - with McGlashan contributing a quick-fire 38 - they will be hoping to make amends this year.
The Scorchers also enjoyed a dominant win in their semi-final contest, beating the Brisbane Heat by nine wickets with Bates contributing an unbeaten 27 from 22 balls.
The WBBL Final between the Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers takes place on Saturday 28th January at 02:45am (GMT)
