Hampshire Hawks Confirm 2026 Vitality Blast Fixtures
Utilita Bowl will host seven Vitality Blast matchdays in 2026, including five double headers, starting on Tuesday 26th May
Experienced all-rounder Benny Howell returns to the Blast in a Hampshire shirt for the first time since 2011, as the only addition to the title-winning squad of 2022.
In 13 prior matches for Hampshire - all coming in 2011 - Howell picked up three wickets with a best of 2-12 against Trinidad and Tobago, and scored 123 runs with a high score of 29* against the Leeward Islands as Hampshire took part in the 2010/11 Caribbean T20 competition.
Since then, Howell forged quite a remarkable career at Gloucestershire.
He featured 119 times for the West Country county, and scored over 1700 runs with five half-centuries whilst he became a master of just about every bowling variation under the sun, taking 142 wickets with a best of 5-18, and an outstanding economy rate of just 7.17.

Plying his trade for Birmingham Phoenix in the Hundred, Howell has so far picked up 20 wickets in 17 matches, and scored 125 runs, alongside featuring in overseas leagues such as the Big Bash, Pakistan Super League, Lanka Premier League, and the Bangladesh Premier League.
