Vitality Blast Rewind: Dawson Shines Against Middlesex At Radlett

With the 2022 season now firmly in the rear-view mirror we're taking a look back at some of the performances that caught the eye throughout the campaign.

Hampshire revisited Radlett in 2022 to face off against Middlesex in the Vitality Blast.

James Vince won the toss, backed his batting line-up to chase down any score, and put Middlesex into bat.

Liam Dawson was introduced into the attack in the 9th over but struck his first blow in his second over, having Hollman caught at long-on by Ross Whiteley for nine from twelve balls.

The dangerous John Simpson was Dawson's next victim, holing out to James Fuller at deep mid-wicket for just five.

In the final over, Dawson struck for the third and final time. Australian Chris Green went back to a ball that skidded on and took his middle stump clean out of the ground.

Dawson finished with figures of 3-14 from his four overs, a herculean effort on a ground known for quick scoring and big scores.

Hampshire then chased down the score in 12 overs losing only one wicket.
