With the 2022 season now firmly in the rear-view mirror we're taking a look back at some of the performances that caught the eye throughout the campaign.
Hampshire Hawks powered into the Vitality Blast final in 2022 thanks to a convincing 37-run win over rivals Somerset.
Hampshire's batters had set a challenging total of 190 for Somerset in the second semi-final, with a place against Lancashire in the showpiece event at stake.
Australian overseas star Nathan Ellis was the first Hampshire bowler to strike a blow to the Somerset top order, having explosive dangerman Will Smeed caught by James Fuller at mid-on.
Somerset needed 38 from the final over with two wickets in hand. Ellis then cleaned up the tailenders.
One of Ellis' many skills is his deceptive slower balls, and he used them to scintillating effect at Edgbaston, as first Jack Brooks was beaten all ends up.
The final semi-final action was Ellis, bowling to Tasmania team-mate Peter Siddle, rattling the stumps again from another slower ball to give Hampshire the win by 37 runs.
