Toby Albert

The 22-year-old was coming off the back of a maiden first-class century in his last match and didn't need to much time to transition to white-ball cricket. Coming to the crease with the Hawks 23/3, Albert helped steady the ship and ended up making the highest score of the match. His 46 runs came off of 32 balls and included five fours and two sixes.

Liam Dawson

Dawson began his Vitality Blast campaign with a positive all round performance. With the bat he made a quickfire 30 from just 12 balls, hitting two fours and two huge maximums to give the Hawks innings some momentum. He was then the most economic bowler, taking 1-18 from his four overs as he had Surrey skipper Ollie Pope stumped.

Michael Neser

It was an impressive T20 debut for Neser who showed how productive he can be with the ball. From his four overs, the Australian recorded figures of 2-33. Firstly he had Dan Lawrence caught behind with just his fourth delivery, before Jamie Smith was caught by James Vince off of Neser's bowling after going aerial.

Joe Weatherley

Weatherley has thrived in the Hawks middle order in the past few seasons and he continued to show his ability in this match. With his side struggling, the 27-year-old calmed things down at the crease. His score of 33 from 24 balls included five boundaries and gave the home side a platform on their way to a competitive total.
