Find out more about the four players in the running below.
Kyle Abbott
Abbott's performance was vital during the win over Kent, as the South African picked up his second five-for of the season. After taking two wickets in the visitors' first innings, the 37-year-old recorded figures of 5-89 on the final day to break Kent's resistance and ensure Hampshire's batters had the opportunity to secure the victory.
Ben Brown
The wicket-keeper batter has enjoyed a brilliant season so far, especially with the bat, and recorded his second century in Hampshire's first innings. He scored 110 runs from 216 balls and, alongside James Vince, set a record partnership for the fourth wicket against Kent. On top of that, Brown made five catches during the match.
Liam Dawson
Once again it was an impressive all-round performance from Dawson. He took two crucial wickets in Kent's second innings, bowling their skipper Daniel Bell-Drummond with a beauty, before having Ben Compton caught on 92. Dawson then scored a match winning half-century with 56 runs coming from just 28 balls, including six fours and one maximum, as Hampshire secured the win.
James Vince
The skipper came into this game off the back of his first century of the summer against Warwickshire and continued his from against Kent. He made his fourth career double century in the first innings of the match, scoring 211 in an innings that included 33 fours. After his side had bowled Kent out twice, Vince then gave them the upper hand in the run chase with a quickfire 32 from just 21 balls.
