June's Player of The Month
Hampshire won five Vitality Blast matches on the bounce after a poor start to the competition, losing their first four games.
The first T20 win of 2022 came against 'el clasicoast' rivals Sussex Sharks at The Ageas Bowl where Ben McDermott and James Vince lit up Southampton with a stunning display of power hitting, as both players passed 50 whilst striking at over 150.
The opening pair continued their form against Middlesex at Radlett as they put on a record-breaking 132 run stand for the first wicket, with the explosive Australian scoring 83 off just 30 balls, leaving the skipper just enough time to reach his own half-century before he struck a four to win the game.
Vince was again in the runs with two scores of 44 against Essex Eagles at The Ageas Bowl and Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens, before he registered his third T20 century against Kent Spitfires as the Hawks compiled their third highest ever T20 score of 221-3.
James Fuller has arguably been the Hawks' most consistent player in the Vitality Blast, scoring crucial runs in the middle order whilst maintaining an impressive strike rate, and picking up important wickets with the ball in hand.
The powerful all-rounder has scored 88 runs at an average of 44 with a strike rate of 157 along with ten wickets and an economy rate of 8.19 in the Vitality Blast this month.
Fuller also proved vital in the thrilling County Championship win against Yorkshire, where he scored 53 runs batting at nine, and ramped Dominic Drakes for four to seal victory by two wickets.
Youngster Toby Albert has also impressed this month, since coming into the side against Sussex Sharks at The Ageas Bowl.
The 20-year old has scored 71 runs at a strike rate of 142, manoeuvring the ball to anywhere in the ground with some excellent improvisation.
Liam Dawson is another who has starred this month, in both the Vitality Blast and the County Championship where his twin 60s proved crucial in the win against Yorkshire, as he demolished Dom Bess in his second innings score of 67.
The left-armer also took 11 Vitality Blast wickets at a highly impressive economy rate of 6.22, along with scoring 40 runs striking at 118.
Joe Weatherley is also on the cards for Player of the Month with important knocks since returning to the side against Essex at The Ageas Bowl.
The middle order batter has scored 144 runs at an average of 48 this month in the Vitality Blast, with a healthy strike rate of 136.
