Voting Now Open For Hampshire’s Player Of The Month

Hampshire Cricket – in partnership with Domino’s Pizza – are giving Hampshire fans the opportunity to have their say and pick the player who has impressed them the most each and every month this season.

Come the end of the 2022 season the player who has received the most votes from fans over the course of the season will be presented with the Fans’ Player of The Year Award at the Club’s End of Season Awards Dinner.

Each month every fan who casts a vote will be entered into a prize draw to win a large family deal – which includes two large pizzas, two personal pizzas and two sides – courtesy of Domino’s!

April’s Player of The Month

The opening month of the 2022 season has thrown up plenty of excitement and notable performances.

Joe Weatherley’s career-high 168 stole the headlines in the LV= Insurance County Championship curtain-raiser as, alongside an impressive bowling display, Hampshire saw off Somerset by an innings and 113 runs at The Ageas Bowl.

A visit to The Kia Oval proved less fruitful for James Vince’s side as they fell to an innings defeat at the hands of Surrey before bouncing back with a big win at Kent, a win which saw Keith Barker take 6-53, Kyle Abbott 5-29 and Vince (111), Dawson (171) and Brown (157) all notch centuries.

Hampshire round off April’s action by welcoming Lancashire to The Ageas Bowl.

To select your Player of The Month simply visit the free, award-winning Hampshire Cricket App and cast your vote for April.

Voting closes at 11:59pm on Monday 2nd May with the winner announced on Tuesday 3rd May.

The lucky fan who wins the large family deal from Domino’s will also be notified on Tuesday 3rd May, via email.

Fans can cast their vote for Hampshire’s Player of The Month in the free Hampshire Cricket App. To be eligible to win the monthly prize afforded by Domino’s fans must have registered their vote by 11:59pm on the day on which voting closes. The winning fan will be selected at random and be notified via email of their prize and how to redeem. One vote per email address will be permitted/counted in each monthly draw.
