We are delighted to offer a special (and FREE!) invitation for ground staff who prepare and maintain cricket pitches to the The Ageas Bowl on Friday 21^st April (10:30am start).

Members of the Institute of Groundsmanship and/or Hampshire County Groundsmanship Association (HantsCGA) can take advantage of this magnificent training opportunity on Day 1 of the Specsavers County Championship match against former champions Yorkshire.

The informal day, hosted by Hampshire Cricket’s Head Groundsman Karl McDermott and supported by Dennis Mowers, is mainly based outdoors on the The Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground, and includes:

• Tea/coffee on arrival
• Light buffet lunch
• Hampshire v Yorkshire match day seat in executive suite
• A trip to “the middle” to see the matchday pitch
• Talks on: early season prep, maintaining health squares and outfields, repairs, machinery demo and maintenance, short tour of Boundary Lakes Golf Course at The Ageas Bowl
