Naomi Dattani
Naomi Dilip Dattani was born in Ealing, London on 28th April 1994 and is a left-handed batter and left arm medium bowler.
She joined the Vipers on loan from Thunder in September 2024 for the final three matches of the season and was picked up by Charlotte Edwards’ Southern Brave in the same year for The Hundred.
She made her debut for her native county, Middlesex, in 2008 and played for Surrey Stars and Western Storm in the Women’s Cricket Super League, before being picked up by Sunrisers in 2020 as the women’s domestic system was restructured.
Dattani scored 602 runs and took 15 wickets for the Sunrisers during her time there across the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and Charlotte Edwards Cup, before making the move to Thunder for the 2023 season.
She went on to play 29 matches for the northwest outfit, scoring 472 runs and taking 21 wickets.
In her three appearances for the Vipers, Dattani made an instant impact, scoring 34 from 31 balls first time out against the Northern Diamonds, and backing it up with a career-best 5-51 against the Sunrisers, despite the Vipers failing to win both ties.
She played 14 times in the RHFT across 2024, scoring 178 runs and taking 13 wickets.
In early 2025, Dattani featured for Western Australia in the Women’s National Cricket League in Australia, facing off against Hampshire captain Georgia Adams on her debut for the side.
She also played for Midland-Guildford Cricket Club where she scored 394 runs with one century and two fifties, and took ten wickets with a best of 3-20.
