In 2026, Utilita Bowl celebrates 25 years since first opening its doors, marking a major milestone in the venue’s history and its journey from the Rose Bowl to the Ageas Bowl and now Utilita Bowl.
Over the past quarter-century, The Bowl has become home to unforgettable cricketing moments, landmark events and a vibrant community. 25 Years of The Bowl is a year-long celebration of where it all began - and a look ahead to what’s still to come.
The headline celebration of the silver anniversary year comes on Friday 29 May, as Hampshire Hawks face Surrey in a retro-themed Vitality Blast T20 double header at Utilita Bowl.
With a Party Like It’s 2001 theme, the matchday will blend fast-paced T20 cricket with throwback touches and a vibrant, all-day atmosphere. It’s a celebration of the venue’s early years, brought to life through modern matchday entertainment - marking 25 years of The Bowl in style.

The anniversary celebrations won’t stop there.
Throughout 2026, 25 Years of The Bowl will unfold through a series of moments across cricket, culture and community, reflecting the people, progress and passion that have shaped the venue.
Highlights include:
