Groundies ‘Trip to the Middle’ Day

A special day for ground staff around the county

Hampshire Cricket Board is delighted to invite all those involved in preparing pitches this season to the Groundies ‘Trip to the Middle’ Day. This exciting event, designed to offer insights and networking opportunities for groundstaff, promises to be both informative and enjoyable.

Date: Wednesday, 18th September
Time: Please arrive by 9:15 AM for a 9:30 AM start
Location: Hampshire Suite @ The Ageas Bowl
Cost: £10 per person

What to Expect:

  • Welcome Breakfast: Kickstart your day with a delicious bacon or egg roll upon arrival.
  • Refreshments: Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available throughout the day to keep you energised.
  • Exclusive Tour: Get a guided trip to the tunnel and the middle, exploring the very heart of The Ageas Bowl pitch.
  • Q&A Session: Engage with the Head and Deputy Head Ageas Bowl Groundstaff (subject to availability) during an interactive session.
  • Renovations Viewing: Witness renovation work in action on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground.
  • Meet the Suppliers: Take the opportunity to chat with various suppliers and learn more about their offerings.
  • Free Match Admission: Enjoy complimentary admission to watch Day 2 of the Hampshire vs Worcestershire County Championship match.
