The Hampshire Cricket Board is excited to announce the launch of its 2025 Girls' Skills Development Programme, a non-selective initiative offering additional opportunities for girls aged U11 and U13. This programme provides a supportive and enjoyable environment to develop core cricketing skills and gain confidence, with a focus on transitioning into hardball cricket.

Programme Overview

The Girls' Skills Development Programme will prioritise helping young players make the transition from softball to hardball cricket. The sessions will include:

  • Skill Development: Batting, bowling, fielding, and wicket-keeping skills tailored to hardball cricket.
  • Confidence Building: Sessions designed to build resilience and familiarity with the demands of hardball play.
  • Supportive Environment: A nurturing atmosphere that encourages participants to learn and grow at their own pace.

This non-selective programme welcomes all skill levels and is led by experienced UKCC2/ECB Core Coaches. The sessions will be held across four districts within Hampshire:

  • North: Yateley School
  • Central: Perins School
  • South: West Hill Park School
  • West: Walhampton School
