Joseph Eckland And Daisy Mullan Released
Keeper-batter Joseph Eckland and all-rounder Daisy Mullan will leave Hampshire Cricket on the expiration of their contracts
Liam Dawson has been named in England’s IT20 squad for a seven-match series in Pakistan at the end of the month.
Dawson’s inclusion in England’s 19-man squad for the IT20 tour of Pakistan will see the all-rounder unavailable for Hampshire selection from 14th September onwards.
The 32-year-old has also been selected as one of three travelling reserves for England’s ICC IT20 World Cup squad with the tournament taking place in Australia across October and November.
Dawson has had a standout summer for both Hampshire and London Spirit, taking 20 wickets in Hampshire Hawks’ Vitality Blast campaign, with an economy rate of just 7. The left-arm spinner often took the new ball and navigated tricky overs during the powerplay.
The call-up marks Dawson’s first inclusion in an IT20 squad since his involvement in England’s tour of the West Indies in January 2022.
