Hampshire Wellbeing Centre Winter Update

Winter wellness at Hampshire Wellbeing Centre: Supporting our community, returning to exercise and more

Since the opening of our clinic suites, we’ve been proud to grow into the additional space with the addition of more highly skilled practitioners and an expanding range of services. Alongside the growth of our core therapies, we’ve welcomed new partners such as Coastal Private GP, allowing us to broaden the care and support we can offer under one roof.

This continued expansion has increased our availability and flexibility, enabling us to support more people when they need it most. As a result, we’re proud to share that 2025 has been our busiest year to date a reflection of the trust our community places in us and our commitment to accessible, high-quality care.

So, as the new year gets underway discover the below seasonal update, which highlights the latest services and support available on site.

Returning to exercise

January is a popular time to return to exercise or start a new fitness routine, and building good foundations early can make all the difference. Setting SMART goals (Specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound) and planning a gradual increase in activity can help your body adapt safely and reduce the risk of injury.

If aches, pains, or concerns do start to arise, seeking professional advice early can be invaluable. Early guidance can help you understand what’s happening, adjust your approach, and keep you moving forward—so you can maintain your motivation and continue working positively towards your goals throughout the year.

Shockwave Therapy: Advanced treatment for persistent pain

Shockwave Therapy is an evidence-based treatment used to support recovery from a range of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly those involving persistent or long-standing tendon pain.

It works by stimulating the body’s natural healing response, helping to reduce pain, improve circulation, and promote tissue repair where traditional treatments may have stalled.

Shockwave Therapy is highly recommended for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, patellar tendinopathy, and gluteal tendon pain. At Hampshire Wellbeing Centre, this advanced treatment is delivered by experienced clinicians within our practice, offering a convenient and very competitively priced option to help you return to activity and reduce pain as efficiently as possible.

Osteopathy

Struggling with headaches or back pain? Not getting anywhere with the usual paracetamol or Ibuprofen? Try Osteopathy today, a hands on manual therapy that actually addresses the route cause instead of masking your symptoms.

Vertex Osteopathy has been operating from the Hampshire Wellbeing Centre for the last 2 years with James, a registered Osteopath, practicing for the last 6 years.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a manual form of assessment and treatment for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back and neck pain, joint problems, postural strain and sports related injuries. James’ main specialities are headaches and back pain.

How can Osteopathy help me?

Treatment is tailored to each individual and may include hands on therapy (massage and manipulation of joints etc.), advice on movement and exercise, and self-management strategies to support recovery and prevent reoccurrence.
