Joseph Eckland And Daisy Mullan Released
Keeper-batter Joseph Eckland and all-rounder Daisy Mullan will leave Hampshire Cricket on the expiration of their contracts
Joseph Eckland is a right-handed batter and wicket keeper.
He was born in Yeovil, Somerset and is a product of Hampshire’s Academy, having progressed through the age groups.
Eckland was called up to England Under 19s in 2022 and played all three ODIs against Sri Lanka. He then travelled to Australia to play in three more ODIs for the Young Lions.
Ahead of the 2023 season, he signed a rookie contract with Hampshire.
After making his First XI debut in the opening match, Eckland went on to make six appearances in the Metro Bank One Day Cup as Hampshire progressed to the final. He recorded a maiden professional half-century against Yorkshire with a score of 72.
Eckland would make four further first-team appearances in 2024, all in the Metro Bank One Day Cup where he scored 50 runs.
