Our Sports Therapy services are designed to help individuals of all ages and abilities achieve their performance goals, recover from injuries, and maintain peak physical condition. Our team of experienced Sports Therapists specialises in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating sporting, recreational or occupational-related injuries, utilising a comprehensive approach to optimise athletic performance and promote overall well-being.
Sports Therapy is a branch of healthcare that focuses on the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, in particular sports-related injuries. Sports Therapists are trained professionals who possess in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise science, allowing them to effectively evaluate and manage musculoskeletal conditions commonly encountered in athletes and active individuals.
Sports massage is a specialised form of massage therapy designed to address the unique musculoskeletal needs of individuals, of all ages and abilities. Our Sports Therapists use a combination of techniques such as deep tissue massage, myofascial release, stretching, and trigger point therapy to release tension, improve flexibility, and restore balance to your muscles and joints. Throughout the session, they will communicate with you to ensure your comfort and adjust the intensity of the massage as needed.
So, whether you're an elite athlete striving for peak performance, a recreational athlete aiming to stay injury-free, or someone recovering from injury, our Sports Therapy services can help you achieve your goals and lead a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Initial Assessment: Our Sports Therapists conduct thorough assessments to identify the root cause of your injury or discomfort, utilising a combination of orthopaedic tests, movement analysis, and medical history to develop a working diagnosis.
Personalised Treatment Plans: This plan will address your specific needs and goals, ensuring that each session is productive, progressive and supported by exercise professionals. These plans may include a combination of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises and injury prevention strategies that can either be done at home, in a gym or your setting of choice.
Communication with other Healthcare Professionals: If you are attending prior to or following an investigation or surgery, with your consent we may communicate with other healthcare providers such as our Physiotherapy team or Orthopedic consultants to help optimise your care and help ensure a thorough rehabilitation process.
Initial Assessment: Our Sports Therapists conduct a screening of your medical history, attain your goals of attending and perform a brief physical examination to ensure the techniques we use are optimal in helping you towards your goals.
Manual Therapy: This then allows for much of the session to consist of hands-on techniques that may include soft tissue mobilisation (Sports Massage), joint mobilisations, and myofascial release techniques to help reduce pain, improve flexibility, and restore optimal function to affected muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints.
Education and Prevention: We empower our patients with knowledge and skills to prevent recurrence of injury and optimise performance through proper warm-up, cool-down, biomechanics, ergonomics, nutrition, hydration, and recovery strategies.
