About Us

Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) is the governing body of recreational cricket in the county and is one of 39 County Cricket Boards in the country.

Hampshire Cricket Board is responsible for developing grassroots cricket in Hampshire. We work with a range of partners, including Hampshire Cricket Ltd, Southern Vipers, Hampshire Cricket Foundation, Southern Premier Cricket League, Hampshire Cricket League and District Associations to grow and improve the game to provide a cricketing future for all.

Our diverse range of activities are designed to provide playing and volunteering opportunities for men, women, boys, girls and people with disabilities.

A sport which inspires people of all ages, providing enjoyment for players, volunteers, followers and spectators

HCB Vision Statement

Our mission is to grow and improve the game to provide a cricketing future for all.   We aim to achieve this by working towards four Strategic Outcomes:

  • Women and Girls - support all clubs to provide inspiring playing and volunteering opportunities for women and girls.
  • Schools and Junior Cricket - provide a cricket offer that is relevant to every primary school
  • Making Cricket Accessible - ensure under-represented groups have equal opportunities to play cricket
  • Clubs and Leagues - maximise the amount of cricket played through a variety of formats, flexibility and minimising administration

Each year HCB publish an Impact Report to highlight the progress made across the game in Hampshire to deliver the objectives set out in Play it Forward.

HCB's Articles of Association and Bye Laws define HCB's purpose, roles and responsibilities and how the company operates.
