D40

The D40 competition, part of the ECB's national hardball disability offer, provides an exciting opportunity for players to showcase their skills in a competitive setting. These games are 40 overs a side, using all the same laws and regulations as mainstream county cricket, including powerplays and a 30-yard fielding circle.

The D40 Competition

The D40 competition is a hardball format specifically designed for players with disabilities. It features two main leagues:

  • D40 Quest League: The premier competition, where the top teams battle for the championship.
  • D40 Pursuit League: A secondary competition where the 2nd XI (a combined team with Dorset Cricket Board) compete.

All games follow the same structure as a standard county match, providing an inclusive and professional environment for players to develop and perform.

Our Squads

  • 1st XI - D40 Quest League
    • The 1st XI represent Hampshire in the D40 Quest League, competing against some of the best disability teams in the country. In 2022, the squad was crowned D40 Quest League Champions, a remarkable achievement that highlights the strength and unity of the team. Hampshire’s 1st XI has won the championship multiple times in the past, consistently demonstrating their elite level of cricket.
  • 2nd XI - D40 Pursuit League
    • The 2nd XI is a combined side with the Dorset Cricket Board, competing in the D40 Pursuit League. This team provides a vital platform for developing players, giving them the chance to gain experience and progress to the 1st XI.
