Our partnership with Lord’s Taverners allows us to deliver free, year round, sessions for SEN schools or SEN units within mainstream primary/secondary Schools. These sessions provide plenty of opportunities for students to get active and learn cricket in a fun and fully inclusive way. In addition to school based delivery, we provide a number of fantastic competitions throughout the year.
Our school year is split into 4 sections and each is listed below:
SLPD Soft Ball Cricket (Coaching in Autumn 2, competition early Spring 1).
Played with a larger ball this is suitable for those with a more severe learning and/or physical disability.
Table Cricket (Coaching in Spring 1, competition end of February).
Played across a Table Tennis table, this incredibly inclusive form of the game is targeted at those with more severe physical and learning disabilities and those who might not be able to access cricket otherwise.
Primary SEN (Coaching in Summer 1, competition in Summer 2).
Played in a more traditional format, this SEN friendly form of the game is suitable for Primary MLD students (or those who would be comfortable playing with a smaller ball in a “mainstream” style of cricket.)
Secondary SEN (Coaching in Summer 2, competition in Summer 2).
Played in a more traditional format, this SEN friendly form of the game is suitable for Secondary MLD students (or those who would be comfortable playing with a smaller ball in a “mainstream” style of cricket.)
