The Hampshire Champions Programme is a youth leadership initiative designed to inspire and empower young people aged 12-16 to become the next generation of leaders in cricket.
Whether you're passionate about coaching, umpiring, volunteering or making a difference in the community, the programme equips you with practical skills and experiences to grow within the game - on and off the field.
What is the Hampshire Champions Programme?
The Champions programme offers a two-level progression pathway:
- Bronze (Ages 13-16) - Open to all young people interested in volunteering or getting involved in more cricket.
- Silver (Ages 14-16) - Designed for those who have already completed Bronze or have previous volunteering experience. This level provides advanced opportunities to lead, coach, umpire, and influence positive change in the cricket community.
- Gold (new to 2026)

- In-person workshops covering coaching, umpiring, scoring, and leadership
- Personal development booklet - Track your volunteering hours and progress
- Interactive learning - Fun, practical sessions tailored to your interests

- Mentorship and guidance - Support form coaches and HCB staff
