Match Preview: Somerset v Hampshire Women, Metro Bank One Day Cup
Hampshire Women travel to Taunton to face Somerset after going top of the table having won their previous fixture
The Ageas Bowl are delighted to confirm that Lord Ian Botham and James Anderson will be in attendance at the Shaun Udal Celebratory dinner this coming April.
The black-tie fundraising event on Friday 29th April will help to raise funds and support for Shaun’s ongoing treatment and care for Parkinson’s disease.
James Anderson is England’s greatest ever fast bowler, a master of swing bowling, and has the most Test wickets of any fast bowler in the history of the game, and passed 1,000 First-Class wickets last summer.
‘Beefy’ Botham meanwhile is England’s best ever all-rounder. A commanding figure who scored 5,200 Test runs, and took 383 Test wickets – the third most for England – in 102 Test appearances for his country.
The evening will begin with a drinks reception followed by a three-course dinner with wine. Throughout the event, guests will be able to participate in an auction/raffle and a Q&A session with both Anderson and Botham as we celebrate Shaun's career.
Tickets for the evening are available at £70 per person, with tables of 10 available for £675.00.
The net proceeds of the fundraising evening will be donated to Shaun for his ongoing treatment and care.
