Women's Health Physiotherapy

Specialist care for women’s health through all stages of life

Our Women’s Health Physiotherapy service is designed to provide expert care and support for a wide range of conditions that affect women’s health. Whether you're dealing with bladder disorders, managing pregnancy-related aches and pains, or recovering postnatally, our team of specialists are here to guide you through treatment and recovery with a tailored and compassionate approach.

We offer a thorough and individualised assessment to ensure that every treatment plan is aligned with your unique needs, empowering you to regain function, reduce discomfort, and enhance your quality of life.

Bladder Disorders

Bladder issues are common but highly treatable

Did you know that 1 in 3 women will experience bladder problems at some stage in their lives? While this is a very common condition, it is also one of the most treatable. Whether you're dealing with incontinence, urgency, or frequent bladder infections, our physiotherapists are skilled in helping you find relief and regain control.

During your initial assessment, we’ll ask you a series of questions about your symptoms and history to better understand the challenges you're facing. You will then typically be offered an assessment of your pelvic floor, which helps us tailor a specific exercise program designed to address your individual needs.

Our team provides as much support as you need and will work with you to monitor your progress and make adjustments to your program as necessary.

What to Expect:

  • Pelvic floor assessment (which may include an internal examination, with your consent)
  • Personalised exercise programs focused on strengthening and rehabilitation
  • Ongoing progress reviews and adjustments to your care
  • Comfortable, private sessions with the option to bring a friend or family member for support

Our goal is to ensure you feel confident, comfortable, and empowered every step of the way.

Pregnancy Care

Supporting you through pregnancy aches and pains

Pregnancy can bring a host of changes to your body, and many women experience aches, pains, or exacerbated joint problems. Our Women’s Health Physiotherapy team can help you manage these symptoms and navigate your pregnancy more comfortably.

We’ll assess the movement and function of your back, pelvis, and hips to screen for any underlying dysfunctions or weaknesses. From there, we can offer a range of treatments and interventions to support you through your pregnancy journey, focusing on reducing discomfort and helping you stay active and healthy.

Our Pregnancy Services:

  • Movement assessments to detect and address joint dysfunction
  • Targeted treatment for pelvic and back pain
  • Advice and exercises for maintaining strength and mobility during pregnancy
  • Support with managing symptoms such as pelvic girdle pain or sciatica

We also offer Pregnancy Scans via FirstSight, providing detailed ultrasound scans for expectant mothers. Learn more about this service here.

The arrival of your baby is a joyous time, but it can also come with its challenges as your body recovers from childbirth. Whether you’ve had a vaginal delivery or a caesarean section, our team are here to assist with your recovery and guide you back to optimal health.

We understand that every birth experience is unique, so our approach is personalised to meet your specific needs. From managing post-birth aches to offering rehabilitation exercises, we can support you as you regain strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.

Our Post-Natal Services:

  • Post-birth recovery assessments to identify areas needing attention

  • Advice on returning to physical activity after childbirth
  • Management of post-birth conditions, including abdominal separation (diastasis recti) and pelvic floor issues

We’re here to help you feel your best, so you can fully enjoy your time with your new baby while supporting your physical recovery.
