About The Foundation

Hampshire Cricket Foundation was created to support local people and, in particular, worthwhile projects in our local community.

Over the last decade Hampshire Cricket Foundation has raised over £1.2 million for local causes. Supporting thousands of young people through sport, education and community projects in some of the region's most disadvantaged areas.

We are proud of our track record in delivering a diverse range of initiatives that make a genuine, lasting difference to people’s lives.

Funds raised by Hampshire Cricket Foundation have helped to establish, develop and sustain projects including the Hawks Academy.

Hawks Academy

Hawks Academy is an on going transformative project supported solely by Hampshire Cricket Foundation

Cricket is just the beginning. Together, we are building stronger communities, one child at a time

These academies are more than just a pathway to cricket; they serve as a vital lifeline for young people from disadvantaged communities, bridging the gap between recreational and elite cricket.

Through Hampshire Cricket Foundation’s funding of Hawks Cricket Academies, countless children have discovered not only their love for the game but also their potential for greatness. Many have progressed into the Hampshire Pathways programme, setting the stage for promising careers in cricket. Yet, the impact of our academies extends far beyond the sport itself.

By bringing together children from diverse backgrounds, the programme fosters empathy, understanding, and connection within our communities. Our participants grow in confidence and self-esteem, developing aspirations that positively influence their academic and social lives. Many have even taken on coaching roles within the club, becoming mentors and role models for others.

As the Hampshire Cricket Foundation looks to the future,  are excited to announce the expansion of the Hawks Academy programme into more contextually challenging areas of Hampshire. This growth is an essential step in our commitment to making cricket accessible to all.

Hampshire Cricket Board

In 2025, HCB coordinated summer bursary places for children aged 5–11 at daytime holiday camps. Delivered in urban areas and clubs growing girls’ cricket, places were prioritised for schools with higher free school meal eligibility, making food provision essential. Through the foundations donation and supported by Watkins and Faux, 80 children attending a Dynamos day were supported with meals.

Looking to the future

Hampshire Cricket Foundation continues to work to support local people and projects within the local community, with dedication and passion for making a difference.
