International cricket at Utilita Bowl

Utilita Bowl has hosted a number of historic international fixtures throughout the years and has been a regular home venue for both England Men's and Women's sides in recent years.

The ECB's allocations for international men’s and women’s cricket from 2025-2031 will see Utilita Bowl hosting no fewer than 19 international fixtures throughout that period, including a men’s Ashes Test Match in 2027, an India Test Match in 2029 and a further Test Match in 2030.

Each Test Match year will also include a men’s white ball international, and there will be 2 men’s white ball internationals in each of the non-Test Match years. 

The women’s schedule includes white ball internationals in 2025, 2026, 2028 and 2030 followed by the women’s Ashes Test Match in 2031, which will be the first women’s Test Match to come to the Hampshire ground.

2025 Internationals

Utilita Bowl staged three England international fixtures in 2025.

In front of a full house, England Men claimed victory in a Vitality IT20 against West Indies in June  with a record number of runs scored in the fixture.

England Women fell short against India in their Metro Bank ODI, before England Men returned to stun another sold-out crowd by defeating South Africa in the final Metro Bank ODI of the series in September, winning by 342 runs - the biggest margin of victory in ODI history!

2026 England Internationals

Utilita Bowl is set to host two England Men's Vitality IT20 fixtures in 2026, as Harry Brook’s side takes on India in a Vitality IT20 on Saturday 11th July. England will then face Sri Lanka on Tuesday 15th September.

2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is coming to the UK across June and July 2026, with six matches being played across four matchdays at Utilita Bowl (known as the Hampshire Bowl for this tournament) in Southampton.

Firstly, West Indies and New Zealand will battle it out at the venue on Saturday 13th June. A double header then arrives with New Zeland taking on Sri Lanka, before England take on one of the teams who is yet to qualify.
