Hampshire Cricket Board Appoint New Non-Executive Directors

Tahina Akther, Nigel Hill, Luke Dirou and Vinay Handa

Hampshire Cricket Board (HCB) is delighted to announce the appointment of 4 new Non-Executive Directors.

Tahina Akther, Nigel Hill, Luke Dirou, and Vinay Handa will start immediately and bring a wide range of skills and experience which will be invaluable to furthering recreational cricket in Hampshire.

They join the board at an exciting time - as HCB embark on the development of a new and ambitious strategy to take the game to more people in Hampshire than ever before.  Together with existing Directors and the executive team, they will be instrumental in developing the strategy and overseeing its implementation over the next 4 years.

Nigel Hill succeeds Geoff Rhodes as Finance Director. Geoff has been on the Board since incorporation in 2010 and has dedicated a significant amount of time to the board, overseeing the finances but also more recently as Chair, prior to Alex Ehrmann taking on the role.  All at HCB would like to thank Geoff for his substantial contribution and wish him well for the future.

Tahina, Luke and Vinay join HCB in advance of existing directors reaching the maximum 9-year term in 2025, allowing for a comprehensive hand over and continuity on the Board at this important time.

‘We were delighted to receive a lot of applications from high calibre candidates, and we thank everyone who showed an interest in the roles.  We are excited to welcome Tahina, Nigel, Luke and Vinay onto the board and look forward to working with them. They all come with great experience and passion to help drive Hampshire Cricket Board onwards’

Alex Ehrmann, HCB Chair
