Ground Regulations

ENTRY TO THE GROUND SHALL CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE OF THE GROUND REGULATIONS 

• “Ground” means this cricket ground, the nursery ground, and all parts of the site with direct access to 
  either.
• “Company” means Hampshire Sport and Leisure Holdings Limited
• “Match” means any cricket match taking place at the Ground 
• “Event” means any other type of event taking place at the Ground 

THE COMPANY RETAINS THE RIGHT TO VARY ALL GROUND REGULATIONS AS MAY BE NECESSARY FOR THE SAFE AND EFFECTIVE DELIVERY OF MATCHES, EVENTS, OR ANY OTHER USE OF THE GROUND.

Admission

1. Admission to and the right to remain in the Ground is at the sole discretion of the Company.

2. All persons seeking entrance to the Ground acknowledge the Company's right to search any person entering, or within, the Ground, including their belongings or vehicles, and to refuse entry to or eject from the Ground any person refusing to submit to such a search.
 
3. Admission is subject to:

a. on non-match or event days - production of a valid staff pass, contractor authorisation or other authorised credential, including a booking reference or meeting confirmation.
b. On match or event days – the above, or a valid match ticket or membership pass.
c. Any health, safety and security rules and regulations that may be in force, including those related to public health measures.

4. Passes, credentials or tickets must be produced on entry to the Ground and on request at any time by a steward, security officer or other representative of the Company. 

5. Re-entry may be permitted on cricket match days with a valid ticket. There is no re-entry for any other type of event.

6. Tickets are not transferable and may not be offered for sale without the prior written permission of the Company. Any tickets offered for sale may be confiscated by any steward, officer of the Company or any police officer. 

7. All persons aged 14 or under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or other responsible adult. Persons aged 15-17 may enter unaccompanied, at the discretion of their parent or guardian.  

CODE OF CONDUCT 

Whilst in the Ground, all persons are required to:
 
8. Comply with the instructions or directions given by a steward or other representative of the Company.  

9. Occupy only the seat allocated to them by their ticket (for allocated seating matches) and must not move from one seating area to another without the express permission or instruction of any steward or officer of the Company.  

10. Ensure any alcohol consumption is done in a responsible manner so that they do not become excessively drunk. 

11. Use mobile phones in a considerate manner so that no nuisance or annoyance is caused to others, particularly in seating areas. 

Whilst in the Ground, no person is permitted to: 

12. Cause a nuisance or block other supporters' views by persistently standing in any seating area during overs or sets.
 
13. Obstruct gangways, access ways, exits and entrances, stairways and similar places.  

14. Climb any structures within the Ground. 

15. Smoke in or adjacent to any stand or seating area, or any other part of the ground outside of the designated areas; this includes vapes or electronic cigarettes.   

16. Use threatening behaviour, foul or abusive language.  

17. Use sexist, racist, homophobic or other discriminatory language, abuse, chanting or harassment.  

18. Throw or discharge any object or missile within the Ground without lawful authority or excuse.  

19. Enter onto the playing area or any adjacent area unless authorised by a steward or other representative of the Company.  

20. Take controlled drugs or offer these to other persons.  

21. Damage or deface the Company’s property.  

Any person in breach of any part of this code of conduct is liable to ejection from the Ground and, where relevant, arrest, prosecution, and withdrawal of Membership (without reimbursement) and other benefits. 

PROHIBITED ITEMS 

22. The following articles must not be brought within the Ground:

• knives and firearms 
• fireworks, smoke canisters, flares or any other pyrotechnic device 
• controlled drugs  
• air-horns, whistles, drums, megaphones 
• glass vessels 
• laser devices 
• drones and associated equipment  
• poles  
• inflatables 
• large items that do not fit under a seat 
• Flags with offensive or football related logos 
• Any articles that may, in the reasonable opinion of the Company, be dangerous, hazardous, or cause injury, harm or nuisance  
• Items of national dress are subject to authorisation by Utilita Bowl prior to arrival.
 
23. Professional standard photography equipment and musical instruments shall not be brought into the ground without prior written authorisation from the Company. Permission may be requested by emailing: [email protected] 

24. Spectators are not permitted to bring animals into the Ground except for registered assistance animals. 

Any person in possession of prohibited items will be refused entry to, or removed from, the Ground.

ALCOHOL 

25. No alcohol shall be brought into the Ground for any events, or for major matches as defined below:
 
• men’s and women’s international matches 
• The Hundred 
• Twenty 20 doubleheaders and single header T20 Blast matches  

26. Adults over the age of 18 may bring alcohol into the Ground for other domestic men’s and women’s matches in the respective 50-over competitions, county championship, and women’s T20 single headers in the maximum amount per adult of either:
 
• 1 bottle of still or sparkling wine or champagne (max 750ml), decanted into a non-glass vessel, or 
• 4 cans of regular strength beer (max 500ml each), or 
• 4 cans of pre-mixed aperitifs (max 330ml). 

No spirits or fortified wines or any alcohol over 16% ABV will be permitted. 

27. No alcohol is permitted on re-entry to the Ground. 

28. No alcohol may be carried out of the Ground. 

29. For matches with a designated alcohol-free seating area, no alcoholic drinks may be brought into or consumed in that designated area. 

PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS 

30. No goods (including literature) of any nature may be offered either free or for sale by any person within the Ground without the express written permission of the Company.  

31. No sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials may be brought into, used or displayed by any person within the Ground without the express written permission of the Company.  

PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING, & RECORDING 

32. CCTV cameras are in use around and in the Ground and the Company may itself use or pass to the police, cricket authorities or other relevant organisation, any recordings for use in any proceedings in accordance with applicable data protection legislation or regulations.    

33. The Utilita Bowl take photographs of spectators at our matches and events to use in our group publicity (including but not limited to, our social media pages and website). Once we no longer need images for publicity purposes, we will delete them. You can ask to for a photo to be deleted from publication by emailing us on [email protected].  

34. No person may bring into (or use within) the Ground any equipment for the purpose of recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data in relation to the Match or any aspect of it, without the appropriate accreditation issued or approved by the venue.

MOBILE DEVICES & ANTI-CORRUPTION MEASURES 

35. Mobile telephones are permitted within the Ground for personal and private use only.

36. In relation to any cricket match taking place at the ground spectators are not permitted to use a mobile telephone, tablet, laptop, computer or other kind of communication device to either (i) communicate or in any way transmit any form of commentary, data or other material for any kind of improper betting or other corrupt or unlawful purpose; or (ii) conduct continuous betting trading activity. 

BREACH OF REGULATIONS 

37. The Company reserves absolutely the right to refuse entry to the Ground or eject from the Ground, without compensation, any person that fails (or in the Company's reasonable opinion is likely to fail) to comply with any of the Ground Regulations or whose presence within the Ground is, or could (in the Company's reasonable opinion) constitute a source of danger, nuisance or annoyance to any other person. This could lead to further action by the Company including, but not limited to, the withdrawal of Membership (without reimbursement) and other benefits. 

38. The Company reserves the right to alter or amend the ground regulations without notice at its sole discretion. 

RISKS, WAIVER & INDEMNITY 

39. The Company excludes to the maximum extent permitted by law any liability for loss, injury or damage to persons/property in or around the Ground. 

40. No guarantees can be given by the Company that a Match will take place at a particular time or on a particular date and the Company reserves the right to reschedule the Match without notice and without any liability whatsoever.  

41. In the event of the postponement or abandonment of the Match, refunds (if any) will be made in accordance with the rules of the competition in question and/or the terms and conditions under which the tickets were issued. The Company will have no further liability whatsoever, including (but not limited to) any indirect or consequential loss or damage, such as (but not limited to) loss of enjoyment or travel costs.  

42. No guarantees can be given by the Company that all areas of the Ground will be open on any given day. The Company reserves the right to close certain areas of the Ground at its sole discretion.  

DATA PROTECTION 

43. Personal information collected by the Company shall be processed by the Company in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and regulations relating to the processing of personal information and privacy. 

44. Visitors consent to the Company and its relevant third-party service providers and/or the police using a visitor’s personal information in connection with investigating, documenting, and analysing any possible breach of these Regulations or the law.
