Match Preview: Kent Spitfires v Hampshire Hawks Men, Vitality Blast
Hawks Men head east as they take on Kent Spitfires following a thrilling final over win on Friday as they look to win seven in a row
With this year's Vitality Blast campaign just around the corner - and to mark the 20th edition of the competition being staged this summer - we've taken a trip down memory lane, looking back at some of the most memorable performances from the past 19 seasons. Next up is James Vince's first T20 centrury against Worcestershire at New Road.
James Vince’s first T20 century stole the show in 2015 and proved crucial as Hampshire got past Worcestershire Rapids at New Road.
Vince and fellow opener Michael Carberry helped Hampshire get off to the ideal start, smashing an 88-run partnership and he was far from finished there.
The skipper’s blistering innings lasted 65 balls and included 12 fours and three maximums.
Hampshire finished the 20 overs on 196/4 with captain Vince 107 not out.
Unfortunately, Worcestershire’s innings was ended abruptly due to bad light. With Hampshire ahead by Duckworth Lewis, the visitors took a 17-run victory to reach another Finals Day.
Tickets and Passports for the all of Hampshire’s 2022 Vitality Blast fixtures are now on general sale and are currently available at the discounted Early Bird rate - but only until Monday 9th May.
