Match Preview: Sussex v Hampshire Men, Pre-Season Friendly
Hampshire Men travel to Hove to play Sussex in their final pre-season fixture before the Rothesay County Championship
The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have today announced The Ageas Bowl will host a Royal London One-Day International and a NatWest International T20 ‘double-header’ during the summer of 2016.
The home of Hampshire Cricket’s international calendar next year will kick off with two NatWest International T20 matches, taking place on Tuesday 5 July. England women will host Pakistan women at the The Ageas Bowl before England face Sri Lanka in the only NatWest International T20 between the two sides of the summer.
The Ageas Bowl will then host the opening fixture of the Royal London One-Day International series between England and Pakistan when the two sides meet in a day-night match on Wednesday 24 August.
Sri Lanka will hold fond memories of the The Ageas Bowl having played their ever first T20 international at the ground against England in June 2006. 72 from just 58 balls from opener Marcus Trescothick couldn’t prevent a narrow victory for the tourists, as Sri Lanka won the match by two runs.
An unbeaten Eoin Morgan century helped England convincing beat Pakistan by 121 runs in the last ODI between the two sides at the home of Hampshire Cricket in September 2010.
Tickets for these two fixtures go on general sale on Monday 12th October, but you can get early access by registering your interest.
