The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the 2024 fixtures for men’s county and women’s regional domestic competitions with Hampshire’s fixtures for next season now confirmed.
Hampshire start the season with a long away trip to newly-promoted Durham, a side the Rose and Crown haven’t played in red-ball cricket since 2016, on Friday 5 April, with a first home match at Utilita Bowl against Lancashire starting on Friday 12 April.
James Vince’s side take on reigning champions Surrey twice in the space of a month, with a trip to the Kia Oval on Friday 19 April before the south London side visit Utilita Bowl on Friday 24 May.
Hampshire Hawks begin their campaign to win a record-breaking fourth T20 title on Thursday 30 May as Vitality Blast Off comes to Utilita Bowl, with Southern Vipers taking on Western Storm followed by Hawks v Surrey in the evening.
Another double header with the Vipers follows on Friday 14 June, while the highly anticipated el clasicoast fixtures against Sussex Sharks take place on Friday 21 June at Utilita Bowl and Wednesday 10 July at the 1st Central County Ground.
Vitality Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston has moved back to its traditional spot in the calendar in September, with the Metro Bank One-Day Cup final taking place just over a week later at Trent Bridge.
The Rose and Crown start their 50-over competition against Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Utilita Bowl on Friday 26 July, as the youthful side aim to go one better than in 2023 and get their hands on an 11th List A trophy.
A final match of the season comes against Somerset at the Cooper Associates County Ground, where Hampshire will hope to lift the County Championship title for the first time since 1973.
