Batter Ali Orr Departs Hampshire

Opening batter Ali Orr will leave Hampshire at the end of his contract and join Middlesex

Opening batter Ali Orr will leave Hampshire and join Middlesex.

The 25-year-old joined Hampshire ahead of the 2024 season on a three-year deal from Sussex.

He made his debut for the club in April 2024 against Lancashire and scored his first century for Hampshire against Durham at Utilita Bowl in just his fourth match for the team.

However, an arm injury in his first Vitality Blast match for the Hawks ruled him out of First XI cricket for the rest of the year.

In 2025, he took the Metro Bank One Day Cup by storm, scoring 602 runs with three centuries, including a memorable 110 in the final at Trent Bridge.

Overall, Orr scored 1,534 runs for the Rose and Crown across all formats, with five centuries and two fifties.

Everyone at Hampshire Cricket and Utilita Bowl thanks Ali for his efforts and wishes him all the best for the future.
