Hampshire Power into D40 Final with Dominant Win Over Essex

Southern Vipers Academy bowler Eve O’Neill has been awarded the Charlotte Edwards Award for Outstanding Under 16 Schoolgirl Cricketer by The Cricket Society.
O’Neill, 16, has had a stellar 2024 season, as she took 20 wickets in 14 matches for Hampshire Women, helping them to reach T20 Finals Day.
In her second season on the Southern Vipers Academy, leg spinner O’Neill took 22 wickets in 15 matches with a best of 5-36 coming in a 50-over match against Northern Diamonds Academy.
During the Academy Festival at Oakham School, O’Neill claimed five wickets in six matches.
O’Neill plies her trade at Calmore Sports CC, and took 15 wickets for their senior sides in 2024.
To top off a stellar season, O’Neill was named in England Women’s U19 World Cup squad, where she will feature with her Southern Vipers teammate Abi Norgrove.
The competition will get underway in Malaysia in January 2025.
