Hampshire Hawks take on Victoria in their final group match of the Global Super League
Five Southern Vipers stars have been selected in the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction.
Danni Wyatt, Charlie Dean, Maia Bouchier, Lauren Bell and Linsey Smith have all made the shortlist of 409 players to be auctioned to five teams in the first ever WPL, with over 1,500 players registering for the auction.
Explosive batter Wyatt has earnt a base price of ₹50 lakh (approx. £50,000), whilst Dean, Bouchier, Bell and Smith all have a base price of ₹30 lakh (approx. £30,000).
A total of 90 players will be auctioned off, 30 of which will be overseas players, with each team having a maximum of six overseas players in their squad.
The auction is set to take place on Monday 13th February and will commence at 9am GMT (2:30pm IST).
The competition is set to get underway on 4th March concluding on 26th March with 22 matches being played in total.
Tickets for Southern Vipers fixtures will go on sale in February 2023, for both Charlotte Edwards Cup and Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy campaigns.
