The 2026 season features the Rothesay County Championship, Vitality Blast and Metro Bank One Day Cup action, four Southern Brave double headers in The Hundred, England internationals and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

In 2027, international cricket returns with three newly announced fixtures, headlined by England Men facing Australia in a historic Ashes Test Match at Utilita Bowl.

The 33-year old, who played in 84 first-class matches for Hampshire averaging under 29 with the ball, explained the decision using his official Twitter account:
